Her mother, a British Jewish woman died when Cordelia was very young and so when Mussolini announces that anybody Jewish will be persecuted, she realises that she must keep her maternal heritage a secret. It tells the story of Cordelia, a young Italian woman living in Rome. ![]() I do love historical fiction set around the Second World War, and I also have a bit of a penchant for spy thrillers so when I read about Lucifer’s Game, the debut novel from Cristina Loggia I was very intrigued. ![]()
